About Neighborhood

Alston Point is ideal for those in search of tranquility and privacy without being in a rural setting. The lots are at least half an acre, and the homes are custom built on private wooded lots. Many of these homes have marsh and wetland views, and some are located directly on the waterfront with access to the Wando River. 

Alston Point is just under three miles to The Shoppes of Park West where you will find a grocery store, dining and more. Lowe’s, Kohl’s, and a Walmart Supercenter are four miles from Alston Point at the Market at Oakland. The new Costco is less than two miles away- on your way to Park West shopping and the town's recreational facilities. The new 40,000 square foot Carolina Park Library is expected to open early 2019.

Amenities

Residents can easily access the Mount Pleasant Recreation Center (within Park West) which houses an indoor pool, gymnasium, track, tennis courts, and football/soccer fields and more. The Carolina Park Sports Fields are also three miles away and is a 54-acre facility of four lighted sports fields. Three fields are home to Mount Pleasant’s SC United FC soccer program.

Kayakers, boaters, and fishermen will water access from the neighborhood boat ramp.

HOA and Covenants

In 2017, there were no sales recorded in the multiple listing service. In 2016, one Alston Point single-family, 3,800 square foot home sold for $600k. In 2018, one 4,000 square foot home sold for $800k.

The HOA fee is $120 annually and is governed by covenants and restrictions.
