About Neighborhood

Charleston National is one of the largest neighborhoods in Mount Pleasant, and the Charleston National Golf Club is one of the top semi-private courses in Charleston. The course was designed by famed golf course architect Rees Jones and the club offers top of the line resort features at affordable prices. Charleston National has a collection of subsections and runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway. There are natural wetlands, tidal ponds, lagoons, and a grand display of stately oaks.

Starting in the 1990s and 2000s, the homes in Charleston National have been built by local volume builders, national home builders, and custom builders. New construction is also available. Condos and townhomes are available in the low $300s, and single-family homes are available starting in the mid $300s. Large waterfront homes have recently sold upwards to $2M in the Victory Point Subsection.

Charleston National is within a mile of The Shoppes of Park West where you will find a grocery store, dining and more. Lowe’s Home Improvement, Kohl’s, and Walmart Supercenter are within two miles from Alston Point at the Market at Oakland. The new Costco is about a mile away, and of course, National Crossing is in the front of the neighborhood with hair salons, restaurant offerings, and other options. The new and nearby 40,000 square foot Carolina Park Library is expected to open early 2019.

Amenities

The 18-hole golf course at the Charleston National Golf Club was designed by Rees Jones and was rated by Golf Digest as the best non-resort course in the Charleston area. The social membership to Charleston National excludes golf but includes the swimming pool, tennis courts, and amenity center. For more information about Charleston National Golf Club memberships, click here.
